finally washed the truck up last night for the first time in a while. the wheels cleaned up almost flawlessly. very happy with this

spent a little time working on the side job yesterday. pulled the front half of the cage out for welding.

all fitted and back in.


the customer is coming over tonight. we will place the driver's seat and figure out the height of the door bar then.

i'm pretty happy with it. door bars are in now. just a couple more details and it can get sprayed with some paint and i can start on the next part of the job; wiring

That sounds like fun! LOL..... I still hate wiring.....

I get to replace my starter in my miata this week. It gave up the ghost suddenly w/o warning at the racetrack this weekend. Sadly, it is buried under the intake manifold on this motor.... one of those things you can see, but not easy to remove scenarios.... *yay*

Had an interesting life event yesterday. My position at work was terminated as a result of a corporate restructure and I was not offered a position within the company to stay on board, thus I got to go home early yesterday for the first time in my professional career anywhere.

My resume is updated and already in the hands of a few prospects for a new 9-5 type position somewhere, but of course this does give me a little time to ramp Walter Racecraft up some, so parts sales and chassis/exhaust work will increase at least for the interim to supplement what was lost. Very exciting about the possible changes!

Damn, that sucks Matt. They didn't give you any notice at all? That's a pretty shitty thing to do to someone. I'm sorry buddy. I hope everything works out for the best.
