First, the Demon is bad ass, and the option to add the other seats, stereo, et al is a dollar. So they could be a killer DD. I was at Sams the other day and a HellCat Charger pulled in next to me and some middle age guy went in to buy crap. Sounded pretty cool and was obviously a cool DD.

HOWEVER, I could build a bad ass car for a lot less.....

What about in stock form? I heard about Car and Driver's bad motor, but that seems to be a very small number and I would be looking at a used car with at least a couple miles on it next year....

You should be more than fine, and if it's not then you have a warranty.

With a warranty?

The Hellcat cars on the used market are coming down a lot due to the backlog on dealer lots. There used to be a waiting list and now there's excess inventory.

[soapbox]

truthfully, if this car is used in competition the warranty should be void. i also believe that any part used on a car in competition should be void of a warranty. warrantying racecars and racecar parts is what is pushing the cost into the stratosphere and is a by-product of the "not my fault" entitlement attitude that dismisses any ownership of bad behavior or habits.

I'm pretty sure that if the car is used in a formal competition, the warranty is void for anything that fails during that event. However, I know both GM and Chrysler will honor the warranty for vehicles advertised as "track capable" if something fails while using the car at the drag strip or at an HPDE, and I think that's a really cool thing. Truth in advertising.
