Now you just need to add on to the garage to get them back under cover!

built a shifter mount for this car

also did a budget oriented manual brake conversion. s10 master, bracket built from an old booster, linelock solenoid is from jegs.

started putting fluids in the car and it started pushing coolant out the back of the engine....yeah intake manifold gaskets are no sealing. so i'm going to finish the rest of the car (for the most part), then i'll pull the intake and investigate. pretty irritated about it, but it is what it is.

thanks guys! today i spent some time getting the interior sort of wrapped up. i wired in the switches, and got the gauges in the a-pillar and wired up. no pictures of the gauges, but this turned out pretty good:

i drained about 2 qts of water from the oil pan, so the oil is junk. but i did go ahead and rotate the engine over with starter speed only (plugs out) to prime the engine. got 55psi of oil pressure so i'm satisfied with that. i have just a few things to go, then i'll snatch the intake off and see what we're dealing with there.

That shifter turned out really nice! Now it just needs a boot so people like me don't lose their keys, cell phone, tools, etc down inside the console! LOL

so was the water from the intake seals??? or was it in the oil pan when you got it???

it's leaking from the intake gasket, in both directions (externally and internally). i'll probably deal with it later this week. the things i know i still need to do on this car for certain are:
driveshaft u-joints
fab driveshaft loop
wire relays for fan and fuel pump
wire and mount msd
fab exhaust
bleed brakes
reassemble interior (fix the radio, cause it doesn't work now?!)
repair intake leak
get running/driving and put a base tune in it.
